Experience

I have extensive experience tutoring students in Biology, Chemistry, and Math. I also have tutored several students in approaching the SAT. While basic math, reading, and writing skills are certainly necessary to attain a desired score, it is equally necessary to prepare students for the format of the test itself. All of my tutoring students have stayed with me for the duration of the course or exam they requested help with; several of them have returned to me periodically over the years for assistance in later coursework. I personally received: -800 Reading SAT score (out of 800) -720 Writing SAT score (out of 800) -710 Math SAT score (out of 800) - 4 on the AP Chemistry and AP US History exam (out of 5) - 5 on the AP Calculus, AP Biology, and AP Literature exam (out of 5) -I want to be a tutor because I love helping people to grasp complex ideas. I enjoy traveling with them through the process that takes them to understanding the material that they are working with. It is my goal to discover how my students think, and approach their course material in the way that makes the most sense to them.

Hobbies

My favorite way to spend a day off is to curl up with a blanket, mug of hot chocolate, and a favorite book. I also love music, and enjoy playing the piano for my own amusement, even though I'm not very good at it! I am really into swing and ballroom dancing as well, and am part of a dance group in my hometown.
